Join Hutt Valley Runners for a big adventure running some of the best trails in and around Tongariro national park.
We'll be staying in the fabulous Ohakune lodge, which is perfectly located to access both the trails and local amenities. There are lots of runs to choose from. As many or few as you’d like and fit in, and logistic will allow. See options below in the itinerary.

Friday | Run Day
Choose one or more of the following:
- Old Coach Road - Up to 26km - Disused railway line with viaducts
- Blyth Hut Return - 8km - Tramping track
- Okahune Mountain Road to Mangahuehue Hut - Up to 15km - Out and back, mountain views.
Saturday | Run Day
Choose one or more of the following:
- Park Run - 5km - 8am Local Park Run
- Ratamaire Road Track - Up to 14km - Out and back, flat gravel road
- Tama Lakes Track via Taranaki Falls - Up to 17.5km - Scenic trail with lakes
